Armig Santos explores sociocultural and historical aspects of Puerto Rico, which is a social community with atypical characteristics. Puerto Rico is a nation and at the same time an adjunct to the United States, in other words, it is Latin America in essence but North America organisationally. In this way, a cocktail of cultures, personalities and traditions between two very different worlds. Santos understands very well what it means to be Puerto Rican, and through his artistic and literary studies he has managed to reflect this complexity in his work and narrate it pictorially.
